Bombshell Report: Israeli Intelligence Agents Caught Infiltrating Presidential Security Operations

One of the most explosive admissions in modern US-Israel history has just slipped into the pages of The New York Times.

According to the report, Israeli Shin Bet agents were allegedly caught attempting to plant a listening device inside a US Secret Service vehicle — a stunning accusation that effectively amounts to a foreign intelligence operation targeting the American presidency and national security apparatus itself.

The revelations come amid reports that the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency has upgraded the threat level posed by Israeli espionage activities from “high” to “critical” — an extraordinary designation for a country routinely described in the American media as a “close ally.”

The intelligence assessments reportedly describe an aggressive expansion of Israeli surveillance efforts beginning in late 2024, during growing tensions between Washington and Tel Aviv over Gaza and Iran policy. US officials cited in the reports claim Israel sought intelligence on internal White House discussions, particularly regarding attempts to negotiate an end to the escalating regional conflict with Iran.

Among the American officials allegedly targeted were Trump envoy Steve Witkoff, Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, and senior defense official Michael DiMino.

The reports also reference earlier incidents in which Israeli intelligence officers were allegedly caught planting listening devices at Defense Intelligence Agency headquarters in 2021, while American personnel stationed in Israel reportedly discovered surveillance software installed on their phones.

But perhaps the biggest question is not whether Israeli intelligence agencies were spying on the United States. Few serious observers of the US-Israel relationship would find that surprising.

The real question is: why is The New York Times reporting this now?

If Shin Bet operatives were allegedly caught attempting to plant listening devices in Secret Service vehicles, it is difficult to believe this information was unknown to major media outlets or senior officials until today. Intelligence operations of this magnitude do not suddenly appear out of nowhere. They are buried, protected, classified — and often deliberately ignored.

For decades, corporate media outlets have downplayed or dismissed discussion of Israeli espionage inside the United States, despite repeated scandals stretching from Jonathan Pollard to allegations of surveillance surrounding the USS Liberty cover-up, AIPAC investigations, Pegasus spyware, and extensive Israeli private intelligence operations inside Washington.

So why the sudden shift?

Is this leak part of an internal power struggle within the US security establishment? A warning shot from factions inside Washington frustrated with Netanyahu’s government? Or an attempt to prepare the American public for a broader rupture between US and Israeli strategic interests as regional tensions spiral out of control?

Whatever the motive, one thing is clear: establishment media only tells the public certain truths when powerful interests decide the timing is useful.
