A prominent Christian lawyer in Spain has been arrested for calling “Miss Trans 2025” Daniela Vallejo “Sir” during a heated TV debate, sparking outrage over free speech amid escalating tensions between conservative values and gender ideology. Polonia Castellanos, president of Abogados Cristianos, faced charges after repeatedly referring to Vallejo as a man based on biological facts, despite Vallejo’s protests demanding respect as “Madam,” in a confrontation stemming from a complaint against a provocative queer show in Calviá, Mallorca.
The incident unfolded during celebrations of patron saints in Spanish towns, where Castellanos claims provocations like promoting gender ideology and mocking Christian beliefs are increasingly common, such as the taxpayer-funded event featuring an individual in lingerie making sexual comments before families and children. Christian Lawyers filed a complaint arguing it was divisive, leading to the fiery exchange on channel Cuatro’s En boca de todos. Castellanos stood firm, telling me, “Even if it’s politically incorrect to say it, he is a man, so I’m not going to treat him any other way,” highlighting her commitment to biology over ideology amid a broader cultural clash.
Infowars.com reports: As expected, Miss Trans 2025 called the words “this gentleman” a transphobic attack and filed a hate crime complaint against Christian Lawyers, with the support of the Ministry of Equality. Shortly after, Vallejo made a comeback to the same television program, discussing the complaint and reaffirming that “biology is not everything, not 100%.”
Polonia Castellanos, who was also invited to participate in the program, stood firm: “I have every right to believe that he who is born a man dies a man. Let him denounce me, but he should not be allowed to try to impose his ideology over my beliefs.”
Attacks against Christian Lawyers, and even accusations of “violence against the trans collective,” have multiplied since this incident, and Polonia published a video on social media to explain and reaffirm the organization’s position:
We at Christian Lawyers are living through veritable persecution because a trans activist has denounced us for calling a man ‘sir.’ Although of course Christian Lawyers defend respect for all people and their dignity for the simple fact of being born, and of course we are against insult and violence, what we cannot tolerate is that they [trans activists] are trying to impose their ideology over our beliefs or their self-perception over our faith. For this reason, Christian Lawyers will continue to fight for the respect of the fundamental right to religious freedom, and for the respect also of our children, on whom they want to impose this ideology, and for freedom. Imposing the idea [of transgenderism] through intimidation is not only wrong because it goes against people’s religious convictions, but also because it contradicts biology and anthropology.
Vallejo has also accused the mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, of the Popular Party, of being “homophobic” and “transphobic” for publishing the following message on X after being interviewed by the same television program and erroneously being identified as ‘Miss Trans 2025’:
Absolutely not! Today I was interviewed on @cuatro @EnBocaDe_Todos and I can do a lot of things in life, but as for entering the Miss Trans Spain 2025 pageant, I’m not at that stage yet, much less likely to win the title.”
For the moment, García Albiol has not been denounced for a hate crime, but what is evident is that in Spain, wokism is very much alive.
