Donald Trump Posthumously Awards Presidential Medal of Freedom To Charlie Kirk

Charlie Kirk medal of freedom

US President Donald Trump has posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk with the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Kirk’s widow, Erika, received the Presidential Medal of Freedom on her husband’s behalf at a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday.

Trump described Kirk, who was assassinated in September as a “martyr for truth” and a “fearless warrior for liberty” who inspired many Americans.

The president designated October 14, the activist’s birthday, as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk. He would have turned 32 this month.

Speaking at the Rose Garden, Erika Kirk thanked Trump and said that the medal was “the best birthday gift he could ever have.”

Last month, Kirk was assassinated by a sniper (according to the official narrative) while speaking to students on a campus in Utah. Tyler Robinson, who was charged with the murder, was described by prosecutors and his family as a radicalized man with left-leaning views
