European Royal Under Police Investigation Linked to ‘Human Safari’ Killing Spree Targeting Children

A European royal is under police investigation after multiple witnesses claimed he flew in by helicopter to join sick “human safari” expeditions during the Siege of Sarajevo, paying premiums to gun down civilians — with a particular desire to shoot children.

Multiple journalists have claimed that wealthy tourists would pay to take part in horrific “human safari” during a prolonged military blockade of Sarajevo, the capital of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The murderous tourists would allegedly pay to shoot civilians during the siege, which took place between 1992 and 1996.

During the siege, more than 10,000 people were killed in the Bosnian capital, following Bosnia and Herzegovina’s declaration of independence from Yugoslavia.

In his book Pay and Shoot, journalist Domagoj Margetić published explosive documents he says were handed to him by Bosnian intelligence officer Nedžad Ugljen. Ugljen had been actively investigating the “human safari” claims before he was shot dead in 1996.

These wealthy tourists and affluent gun owners are accused of traveling to Sarajevo for “sniper tourism,” giving cash to members of the Bosnian Serb army to target and kill civilians in the capital.

The Express report: Another journalist who first triggered the investigation into the safaris, Ezio Gavazzeni, collected information about the alleged practice in 2025 and handed it over to the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office.

It is alleged that these despicable sniper tourists would hand over 80,000 marks ($47,000) to shoot a middle-aged person, with a higher sum of 95,000 marks ($56k) to shoot a young woman. Among the highest amounts paid would be to shoot a pregnant woman at 110,000 marks ($66k).

Even more sickeningly, it is claimed that the tourists would pay an increased amount to shoot and kill children.

Speaking to The Times, the Pay and Shoot author Margetic said, “Ugljen also wrote the foreigners competed to see who could shoot the most beautiful women.”

“Many of them told me a European royal was among the shooters. He would arrive by helicopter, stay in Vogosca near Sarajevo, and wanted to shoot at children,” he added.

A 63-year-old witness, Aleksandar Licanin, who volunteered with a Bosnian Serb tank unit at the time, spoke to The Times about the horrors he saw. These sniper groups, he said, included Europeans from Britain, Italy, and Germany.

“I want the truth to come out, and I was waiting for a real investigation to start,” he said to the outlet, adding, “I am prepared to stand up and tell the Italian magistrates what I know.”

The first time he saw these bloodthirsty rich killers taking up positions around the capital to shoot at civilians was around 1993 or 1994, he recalled.

“They wore expensive leather jackets, and I was told they were Italians, Germans, and British. They were helped to find targets, and shooting from the cemetery was a clear shot — you had everything,” Licanin described.

In February this year, Al Jazeera reported that an 80-year-old former truck driver was under investigation in connection with the claims.
