Turning Point USA insider Frank Turek has taken to social media to denounce Candace Owens for investigating Charlie Kirk’s assassination, and declared that she deserves to be hunted down and killed.
Turek, who was present in the SUV that transported Kirk after he was shot at Utah Valley University, has fiercely condemned Owens for promoting what he calls baseless conspiracy theories about Erika Kirk.
Turek invoked Old Testament scripture to declare that Owens is “demonic” and deserving of death by the sword.
Turek, a close mentor to Kirk, witnessed the shooting firsthand. In the aftermath, Turek himself faced online scrutiny, including claims that he was sending hand signals to the shooter—a theory he has denied while claiming he was simply adjusting his hat.
Turek’s Response: Scripture, Swords, and ‘Demonic’ Attacks
Turek’s controversial remarks came during a Turning Point USA Faith Forward Pastors’ Summit, where he addressed the online attacks on Erika Kirk.
According to The Christian Post, Turek called the allegations against Erika Kirk “absolutely demonic” and invoked Exodus 22:22, which states: “Anyone who oppresses the widow or the fatherless, God says, ‘I will let you down until you with the sword’” .
He elaborated, referencing Deuteronomy 19, which prescribes the death penalty for false accusers: “If you falsely accuse someone of a crime and you’re found out, you get the penalty of the crime. So, if you falsely accuse someone of murder and you’re found out, you’re the one executed” .
While Turek did not issue a personal death threat against Owens, his allusion to Old Testament justice has been widely interpreted as a chilling warning.
A Substack post summarizing Owens’ coverage of the feud noted: “He said, ‘If you come after a widow or the fatherless, God says “I will hunt you down with a sword and kill you!”
‘Shut Up’: Turek’s Blunt Appeal to Evidence
Beyond the biblical language, Turek has been equally direct in his public appeals to Owens. On an October 27, 2025, broadcast, he responded to Owens’ speculations by telling her: “There’s a difference between a possibility and evidence for a possibility. You can speculate on anything you want, but unless you have evidence, shut up”.
Turek has continued this theme into mid-2026. On a recent episode of his podcast, he addressed listener questions about discrepancies in eyewitness accounts, arguing that minor contradictions do not imply guilt. He criticized Owens for interpreting any inconsistency as evidence of a conspiracy, calling such reasoning “an attack on our blind justice system”.
He added: “Your hunches, vibes, dreams, and feelings are not evidence that someone has committed murder”.
The Social Media Battle
The feud has played out intensely on social media. Owens has mocked Turek’s allegations, dismissing a claim that her content was causing marital strife as a “new level of propaganda” . She has also invited Turek onto her show to debate, challenging him to “explain how prosecutions work” while she explains “how friendships work”.
Turek, meanwhile, has defended the Kirk family and TPUSA. He pointed out that Owens’ accusations are contradictory—sometimes calling Erika Kirk “too emotional” to lead TPUSA, other times claiming she was “too calm” after the shooting, which Owens insinuated was suspicious.
