King Charles has set out the British government’s legislative plans which ncludes the Governments plan to push ahead with the introduction of digital ID cards in the UK..

He laid out Labour’s plans amid political chaos while Prime Minister Keir Starmer clings onto his position.

During the state opening of parliament speech on May 13, the Monarch told Parliament: “My ministers will also proceed with the introduction of digital ID that will modernise how citizens interact with public services.”

Supporters say it could make accessing services quicker and easier, while critics fear it could increase state control and reduce privacy.
