King Charles “Defender Of The Faith” Won’t Be Issuing An Easter Message This Year

King Charles

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, will not be issuing an Easter message this year.

Apparently, the Monarch does not releases an Easter message every year, unlike its annual Christmas speech.

Last year, Charles who is also “Defender of the Faith, “did issue an Eater message on Maundy Thursday.

GBNews reports: Despite not issuing a formal Easter message, the King and Queen Camilla did travel to North Wales today to celebrate Maundy Thursday

Buckingham Palace’s decision not to release an Easter message will likely ruffle some feathers among Christians, given that in February, the King and Queen’s social media account faced backlash for issuing Muslims a “blessed and peaceful Ramadan” on Shrove Tuesday.

The message was accompanied by a graphic reading “Ramadan Mubarak”, an Arabic phrase meaning “Blessed Ramadan”.

In a post shared on X by the Royal Family’s official account, Buckingham Palace said: “Wishing all Muslims in the UK, the Commonwealth and around the world a blessed and peaceful Ramadan.”
