Trump Nominates UFC President Dana White as White House Press Secretary

President Donald Trump has tapped UFC President Dana White to serve as the new White House press secretary.

In a Truth Social post Saturday afternoon, President Trump called on the leader of the United States’ premier MMA fighting league to fill the role vacated by former press sec Karoline Leavitt and briefly occupied by Katie Zacharia, who folded during a disastrous first White House press briefing.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump wrote.

The president went on to ask White to have current and former UFC champions from around the world work as his assistants, writing, “I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris.”

“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

White has been one of the president’s highest-profile supporters over the past decade, staunchly defending Trump despite pressure from the legacy media, the leftist establishment and advertisers, and has been unapologetic about his organization’s support.

On Instagram, White teased that he might accept the position.
