Donald Trump has reiterated his warning to Columbian President Gustavo Petro following the capture of Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro.
On Saturday Trump said that the South American leader also ‘needed to watch his ass’ as he is illegally shipping cocaine into the United States.
InfoWars reports: During a press conference Saturday following U.S. strikes on Venezuela that led to the capture of President Nicolas Maduro, a reporter asked Trump to respond to Petro’s claims that he was unconcerned by the overt military action.
“Well, he has cocaine mills,” Trump responded. “He has factories where he makes cocaine, and yeah I think I stick by my first statement. He’s making cocaine and they’re sending it into the United States. So, he does have to watch his ass.”
Trump’s terse warning to Columbia’s president followed similar remarks directed toward Petro last month after the Columbian president criticized the U.S. for seizing Venezuelan oil.
“He’s no friend to the United States, he’s a very bad guy,” Trump stated.
“He’s got to watch his ass, because he makes cocaine and they send it into the United States of America from Colombia.”
“We love the Colombian people; I love the Colombian people … but their new leader is a troublemaker,” Trump added.
Following Saturday’s operation, Trump suggested similar military action could be taken in Mexico, citing the country as being overrun by drug cartels.
“Something’s going to have to be done with Mexico,” Trump told Fox & Friends on Saturday following the Venezuelan operation.
“She’s a good woman, but the cartels are running Mexico,” he added. “She’s not running Mexico. The cartels are running Mexico. And we could be politically correct and be nice and say, ‘Oh yes, she is.’ No, no. She’s very, you know, she’s very frightened of the cartels. They’re running Mexico. And I’ve asked her numerous times, would you like us to take out the cartels?”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio also threw Cuba into the mix, saying their communist government should be looking over its shoulder.
