Trump Counter-terrorism Chief Quits Over Iran War, Exposes ‘Israeli Coup’ in White House

National Counter-Terrorism Center Director Joe Kent has resigned to expose the Israeli coup in the White House that illegally launched the Iran War and is attempting to take control of Congress and domestic US policy.

In a letter posted to his X account, National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent revealed that Iran posed “no imminent threat” to the US and claimed that the administration “started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby”.

Kent, 45, is a US special forces and CIA veteran whose wife, navy cryptologic technician Shannon Kent, was killed in a bombing in Syria in 2019.

The White House has dismissed the letter claiming Trump had “compelling evidence” that Iran was going to attack the US first.

With his exit, Kent becomes the highest-profile Trump administration official to publicly criticize the joint U.S.–Israeli war in Iran.

In a letter to Trump, Kent accused “high-ranking Israeli officials” of spreading misinformation that pushed the president away from his “America First” agenda.

“This echo chamber was used to deceive you into believing that Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States,” he wrote. “This was a lie.”

At the National Counterterrorism Center, Kent reported to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and oversaw global terrorist threat analysis and detection.

Kent previously served 11 overseas deployments with the U.S. military, including with U.S. Army Special Forces in Iraq. He later worked as a CIA paramilitary officer before leaving government service following his wife’s death.
