Tucker Carlson called for President Donald Trump to be “bundled up and taken out” of the White House by his cabinet secretaries for “threatening to eliminate the human race.”
Recently asked by NPR’s Steve Inskeep whether Trump should be impeached for starting the war, Carlson said it was unlikely and that “He’s not going to be punished for it,” adding that instead “They’ll get him on corruption or whatever.”
He “should have been removed from office immediately when he threatened nuclear war,” stated Carlson, formerly a loyal Trump supporter. “Threatening the offensive use of nuclear weapons? Which is to say threatening the destruction of humanity?!” he added.
“It’s enough for me to say he should be removed from office. He should have been removed from office by his own Cabinet secretaries the moment he threatened a nuclear attack,” Carlson continued.
Asked if he was alluding to the 25th Amendment, which provides an avenue to transfer power from a president to an acting president if he’s unable to carry out his duties, Carlson affirmed, “That’s correct. He should have been bundled up and taken out. That’s a crime. There’s no greater crime than that.”
“Here you have a guy threatening to eliminate the human race and that’s not considered a crime?!” asked Carlson. “It tells you how deranged our moral scale has become. So he should be removed from office for threatening first-use nuclear strike.”
Carlson also recalled a moment he cautioned Trump about starting the war, to which the president reportedly stated, “In the end, we’re all dead anyway.”
Trump has repeatedly threatened to wipe out Iran since the start of the war in February, most memorably following Easter when he posted to Truth Social, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
President Trump once again threatened to annihilate Iran during remarks at the United Nations General Assembly this week, asking,
“Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before — maybe one of the greatest in the Middle East, or even the world? Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic, and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? Do I drive them into hell, with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness for generations?”
Tucker has been rumored to be starting a third party aimed at putting America first, along with other former Trump loyalists including Marjorie Taylor Greene, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Joe Kent, recently laying out 10 foundational principles he says the US must embody to realign its values.
