An American Airlines airplane flying from North Carolina to Minneapolis was turned around due to an “undisclosed security threat”
According to CBS News [1]:
American Airlines officials confirmed to CBS News affiliate WBTV that Flight 1865 experienced the threat, but did not specify exactly what it was [2].
The plane, an Airbus 321, departed from Charlotte at 8:43 p.m. and landed back at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport at 9:07 p.m. after being in the air for only 24 minutes.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to the airport and gave the plane the all-clear.
The plane remained on the ground in Charlotte late Monday night.
