Video: What’s REALLY In That Hotdog? You May Be Surprised

From Higher Perspective (source):  I think it’s been pretty well known for a while that among the foods you find in the meat section of your grocery store, the hot dog is hands-down the sketchiest one.

Hot dogs are a favorite food for many children, including children. But are you aware of what goes into that hot dog? Whether or not you consume hot dogs, you should know how its made and what it’s made of.

New research has been able to show that nitrates and nitrites found in hot dogs cause cancer in the animals fed the hot dogs, and an enlarged intake of hot dogs increased the risk of colon cancer specifically.

This would translate to about 5-6 hot dogs a week for an adult human.
