Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong took time out of his set in London, England on Friday night to trash America and blast the U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe vs Wade.

F*** America, I’m renouncing my citizenship,” an angry Armstrong shared to a cheering crowd. “There is too much f***ing stupid in the world.”

I’ve just had too much f***ing stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f***ing excuse for a country.”

He also claimed he’d be leaving the US and moving to the UK, which was met with roaring approval by his fans.

It’s not the first time California-based Armstrong has trashed America. Besides releasing a song literally titled ‘American Idiot’ and releasing an entire album that criticized former President George W. Bush and the Iraq War, he also performed in front of a ‘f**k Ted Cruz’ backdrop at a show earlier this month.

He’s also been vocal in calling out former President Donald Trump for “holding half the country hostage”.

Roe v Wade, which in 1973 provided the constitutional right to abortions up until foetal viability, was overturned on Friday, in a decision that promises to further drive political divisions across America.

The court voted 6-3, along party lines, in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organisation, which involved Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

Abortion rights will now be determined by individual states.

Almost half of the country’s states have or will pass laws that ban abortion while others have enacted strict measures regulating the procedure.

Lily Allen has shared that she’s feeling “so many emotions” after joining Olivia Rodrigo on stage to sing one of Allen’s classic hits — ‘F*** You — in protest to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V Wade over the weekend.

Performing at her first Glastonbury festival, Rodrigo stopped the show to bring Allen on stage, a moment she said was “the biggest dream come true ever”. She then shared that as excited as she was, it wasn’t all smiles for the 19-year-old American pop star.

“I’m also equally as heart broken over what happened in America yesterday,” Rodrigo told the crowd.

“I’m devastated, and terrified, because so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this,” she continued.

“I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have showed us that at the end of the day they truly don’t give a sh*t about freedom.”
