Former Super Bowl Champion Riddick Parker Died Suddenly While Riding His Bicycle

Former Super Bowl champion Riddick Parker who was also the princiapl at George Wythe High School in Richmond, Virginia, died suddenly on Friday while riding his bicycle.

Parker not only played for Seattle Seahawks, but was also on the New England Patriots team when they won the Super Bowl in 2001.

According to the obituary: Mr. Riddick T. Parker, Jr. age 49, departed this earthly life on Friday, August 19, 2022 at his home in Chesterfield, VA”

The Gateway Pundit reports: On Friday morning, Richmond Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras tweeted the news of Parker’s passing.

“I’m absolutely devastated to share that Riddick Parker, Principal of George Wythe HS, has passed away,” Kamras announced.

“Mr. Parker gave his FULL heart & soul to the students of Wythe and will be dearly missed. Details are forthcoming on a memorial service. Please keep his family in your prayers,” the tweet concluded.

Although the official cause of death has not been disclosed, sources told CBS 6 that Parker passed away while he was riding a bicycle.

“The circumstances surrounding his death have also not yet been disclosed,” the outlet added.

Riddick Parker was a former defensive end in the NFL. During his NFL career, Mr. Parker played for the following teams: Seattle Seahawks (1997–2000), New England Patriots (2001), and Baltimore Ravens (2002–2003).

Parker had a six-year NFL career, during which he appeared in 82 games and recorded 5 sacks. He signed with the Chargers after playing college football at the University of Carolina, according to Wiki.
