The demand for cosmetic procedures is at an all-time high as average women aspire to keep up with celebrities like the Kardashians

Women are not only changing their faces, a growing number of females are now resorting to mutilating their genitals to get more likes and clicks on social media.

In an effort to copy celebrities who have made wearing ultra-tight, spandex leggings a trend, an increasing number or women are going under the knife to obtain “designer vaginas.”

According to a report in the New York Post, “Women are flocking to purchase a ‘designer vagina’ after ultra-tight leggings have become uncomfortable or embarrassing thanks to the dreaded ‘camel toe”

The Gateway Pundit reports: A top plastic surgeon says the number of women hankering after the surgery has surged in 2022.

Labiaplasty typically costs approximately $4,000 and involves “using a scalpel or laser to reduce the size of the labia minora — the flaps of skin found on either side of the vaginal opening,” Daily Mail reports. “The procedure can be done with either general anesthetic or a local anesthetic and can take between one to two hours.”

Dr. John Skevofilax, a chief surgeon at Signature Clinics in the UK, performed 50 labiaplasties in 2021 and “had already surpassed that number by the first half of 2022,”

Designer vaginas were previously sought after as women attempted to achieve unrealistic body images depicted in pornography, but now 80 percent of women are undergoing the procedure to eliminate physical discomfort while wearing tight clothing, the plastic surgeon told the publication.

“Women were increasingly seeking labiaplasty because tight clothing like leggings are uncomfortable and ‘draws attention to the labia,’” Skevofilax said. “Exercise clothing is a little bit tighter and it’s formfitting so it does put pressure on the area.” (so why don’t they just stop wearing the tight clothing?)

‘They experience pain, discomfort in general, chafing, a lot of women actually will feel so uncomfortable that they avoid trying to wear this type of clothing,” he continued. “It’s all really interlinked, choosing a pair of leggings which causes discomfort and which in turn draws attention to the labia and the need for surgery.”

Social media is also fueling a craze for Botox, butt and breast implants, lip filler and rhinoplasty.

Butt lifts, which involves taking fat from one part of the body and injecting it into a person’s bottom , are currently the fastest growing cosmetic surgery in the world, with 61,837 carried out last year in the US alone, the New York Times reports.

A 2020 survey conducted by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons found that 49 percent of Americans who’d never had plastic surgery claimed to be open to going under the knife in the future.

The to the uptick in cosmetic surgery during the COVID pandemic is attributed to “Zoom dysmorphia,” a form of body dysmorphia, according to a study published in the International Journal of Women’s Dermatology According to the study, staring at your reflection on video for severa hours a day lead to people developing a “negative self-perception.”
