MPs and victims of child sex abuse have called for the Met Police to hand over a paedophile ring probe after the force’s chief became embroiled in the scandal.
Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe was an Assistant Chief Constable at Merseyside in 1998 when it uncovered claims a Labour government minister was a paedophile.
Labour MP John Mann said Hogan-Howe would “have to be questioned by the police watchdog and not his own officers”
