A naked Donald Trump statue was erected at Manhattan’s busy Union Square on Thursday, before being taken down by government officials for contravening “unpermitted erection” rules.

The statue, large, veiny and pale, was created by artist group INDECLINE, who reportedly placed similar statues around the country on Thursday morning, as reported by the Washington Post.

The New York model lasted two hours before it was toppled just after 1pm by the city’s Parks Department.
Passers-by reportedly booed the officials.

Department spokesman Sam Biederman said in a statement: “NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small.”
One bystander reportedly tried to grab a part of the left foot before the government department took the whole body down.
The sculptor, a Las Vegas based artist called Ginger, said the statues are as anatomically correct as possible.
He told the Post that he usually makes monsters for haunted houses and horror films.
“I don’t expect these things to last more than 30 or 45 minutes,” Ginger said.
“But I would love to watch some irate 65-year-old Trump supporter try to take the thing down with his bare hands.”
It is called “The Emperor Has No Balls”, a play on the short story “The Emperor Has No Clothes”.
Other statues were placed in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Cleveland and Seattle.
