Israel’s Finance Minister Celebrates Death of American Troops in Middle East: ‘Most Favorable Situation For Israel’

Fact checked by The People's Voice Community

While the United States continues to pour blood and billions into an unnecessary war with Iran, an Israeli official has openly admitted that sitting back and watching American soldiers fight and die for Israel is “the best for us.”

This is not “antisemitic disinformation.” This is Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich speaking on the record.

Smotrich stated on July 21 that Israel has “absolutely no interest” in joining the recent U.S. military strikes against Iran . He went further to claim that the current state of affairs—where the U.S. and Iran are locked in direct conflict—is the “most correct and favorable situation” for Israel . In his estimation, Israel’s goal is to “weaken the Iranian regime until it is overthrown,” and America must send its sons and daughters to die for the cause.

But the Israeli government is not just passively observing the situation. As Tucker Carlson has recently pointed out in blistering commentary, Israel has actively manipulated U.S. foreign policy to serve its own ends.

Carlson, speaking on the East Meets West podcast, has argued that the ongoing war with Iran is a betrayal of the “America First” agenda. He says that President Trump “did what he said he would never do, and he did it at the request of Israel”.

Carlson has been unequivocal in his assessment of who is pulling the strings: “Trump was dragged into this war because Israel pushed him into it. I’m not guessing. It’s not antisemitism. It’s a fact”.

The calculations made by Smotrich and his ilk align perfectly with what Carlson has been warning about. Smotrich believes that Israel should remain on the sidelines because a direct confrontation between the U.S. and Iran is strategically ideal—it allows Israel to achieve its goals of destabilizing Iran without having to pay the price in blood and money.

In a recent X post that has since gone viral, Carlson highlighted Smotrich’s admission, framing it as proof that the current U.S. administration is acting as a proxy for a foreign power.

Carlson has gone even further, arguing that the United States has essentially lost its sovereignty. He recently stated, “I think America lost its sovereignty many years ago… The CIA and Mossad have worked together for over 60 years, and in some cases, they literally operate as one entity”.

He has accused the Israeli intelligence apparatus of manipulating the U.S. into war for decades, citing the false intelligence used to justify the Iraq War.

In a recent interview with an Israeli journalist, Carlson dismantled the mainstream narrative, calling for an end to unconditional support for Israel’s military agenda . He argued that America has no obligation to send weapons or lend military cover to Israel, especially when American interests are being compromised.

The numbers in this equation do not lie. While Smotrich sits in Jerusalem bragging about the strategic advantage of the U.S. engaging Iran, American troops are taking the hits. The war with Iran is already costing U.S. taxpayers over $100 billion, with a direct Pentagon price tag of $375 billion according to recent estimates. Meanwhile, 18 U.S. service members have already been killed and over 500 wounded.

It is a stunning reversal of the usual dynamic. Typically, the United States pays for proxy wars. Now, the United States is the proxy.

As Tucker Carlson noted, “Israel wants to control the Middle East. It wants to get the U.S. out of the region”. The question Americans need to ask themselves is simple: Why should our sons and daughters die to establish a “Greater Israel” from the Nile to the Euphrates?

When the bill comes due for this war, it will be American families paying it—not the Israeli finance minister. And that is exactly how he prefers it.
