Former Minnesota Governor and WWE legend Jesse “The Body” Ventura made explosive claims during a March 24, 2026 appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, asserting that President Donald Trump does not belong in the WWE Hall of Fame and was only inducted as a favor for allegedly helping to halt an investigation into Vince McMahon.
Ventura, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, did not hold back when discussing Trump’s 2013 induction.
“Trump being a Hall of Famer is a tragedy,” he said. “This guy has never been in the ring… Donald Trump does not belong in the wrestling Hall of Fame.”

He continued: “I’m the only real former wrestler—don’t include him! He’s only in the Hall of Fame because he stopped an investigation against Vince McMahon, of sexual stuff.”

Ventura argued that true wrestling Hall of Famers like his friend Ken Patera — an Olympian and longtime pro wrestler — have been overlooked, while Trump received the honor without ever stepping foot in the ring as a competitor.
Trump was inducted for his promotional ties to WWE, including hosting WrestleMania IV and V at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City and his involvement in the “Battle of the Billionaires” storyline.
Piers Morgan pointed out that Trump’s induction occurred in 2013, well before he took office as president in 2017 (and again in 2025), and years before the major sexual misconduct allegations and federal investigations into McMahon surfaced publicly in 2022–2024.
Ventura dismissed the timeline concern and stood by his claim.
