Kash Patel Confirmed as FBI Director, Vows to Expose Epstein and Diddy’s Powerful Clients

Kash Patel was confirmed as the new Director of the FBI in a narrow 51-49 Senate vote on Thursday, overcoming fierce opposition from Democrats and two defecting Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins (ME) and Lisa Murkowski (AK).

A former federal prosecutor and key intelligence official in the Trump administration, Patel secured the position after President Donald Trump tapped him for the role shortly after his re-election, calling him a “brilliant lawyer, investigator, and America First fighter” dedicated to “exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people.”

“Kash played a pivotal role in exposing the Russia Hoax and has always stood for truth, accountability, and the Constitution,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

During his nomination hearing on January 30, Patel was asked by Sen. Marsha Blackburn, “Will you work with me on this issue so we know who worked with Jeffrey Epstein in building these sex trafficking rings?” to which Patel responded without hesitation: “absolutely.”

Patel’s extensive background includes serving as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Director of National Intelligence, and Senior Director for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council—as well as prosecuting over 60 jury trials.

His confirmation signals a seismic shift at the FBI, with expectations of deep reforms and renewed scrutiny on past political investigations.

Patel’s comments on hundreds of podcasts over the last four years include referring to law enforcement officials who investigated Trump as “criminal gangsters,” referring to Jan. 6 rioters as “political prisoners” and pledging to “come after” anti-Trump “conspirators” in the government and media.
