Weird Stonehenge Stones On Comet Baffles Scientists (Video)

Scientists are baffled by three boulders that appear to balance perfectly on Comet 67P, as seen in the images on the video below which were taken by the European Space Agency’s Rosetta Spacecraft.

These boulders balancing like ballerinas on the surface of a comet, are kind of strange and scientists are trying to figure out why they’re acting like that on a low gravity comet.

These images were taking in August 2014, with mission scientists unveiling the photos today (May 18, 2015). Images taken from different angles reveal that the three closely spaced boulders all appear to be similar to “balancing rocks” seen on Earth, which often look as though they might topple over at any moment.
