French Social Media Censors Video of Macron ‘Doing Cocaine’ With World Leaders on Train to Ukraine

In a moment that’s ignited a firestorm online, footage from a train ride carrying top Western leaders into Ukraine has sparked serious speculation: was French President Emmanuel Macron caught with a bag of cocaine?

The brief clip, filmed during a late-night diplomatic journey from Poland to Kyiv, shows Macron seated in a private cabin alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

As reporters entered the room, Macron appears to hastily snatch an unidentified white item off the table and tuck it into his pocket. Online sleuths didn’t waste time — and the theories exploded.

Many claim the item looked suspiciously like a small bag of white powder, while others zeroed in on Merz, who some say appeared to be holding what looked like a cocaine straw or spoon before quickly concealing it.

The footage went viral almost instantly, and the denials came just as fast.

French Media Rushes to “Debunk”

Legacy outlet Libération was first to jump into damage control mode, labeling the claims as “baseless conspiracy theories.” According to the outlet, the item Macron grabbed was a simple “handkerchief,” and the supposed straw in Merz’s hand? Just a humble “coffee stirrer.”

But critics aren’t buying it — and point out that Libération has often served as a mouthpiece for the French establishment.

“If it was just a tissue, why the rush to hide it when cameras entered?” one X (formerly Twitter) user asked. “And why is Merz’s ‘stirrer’ not clearly visible in later shots?”

While there is no concrete proof that any illegal substance was involved, skeptics argue that this is just the latest in a long line of strange behavior among world leaders. From late-night, jet-lagged interviews to erratic public appearances, the whispers of substance use behind closed doors have never fully gone away.

And this latest clip — whether innocent or not — has only added fuel to the fire.
