Former First Lady Michelle Obama has urged Black Americans to boycott all white-owned businesses in the U.S. in order to “redress racial inequity.”
In clips going viral on social media promoting her new book, The Look, Obama says she chooses clothes produced by “people of color,” saying black people should avoid white designers and store owners.

And I think if you have the money to buy Chanel, then you have the money to buy everybody, and so let us be mindful, I think would be my advice.
Obama didn’t literally say avoid to white-owned companies, but the implication was there.
