British police are assessing reports that allege that the former Prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor shared confidential trade details with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein
According to the BBC, emails from the recently-released batch of Epstein files show the former prince passing over reports of visits to Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam and confidential details of investment opportunities.
Under official guidance, trade envoys have a duty of confidentiality over sensitive, commercial, or political information about their official visits.

TRTWorld reports: In a statement, a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said on Monday, “We can confirm receipt of this report and are assessing the information in line with our established procedures.”

The former Duke of York, the younger brother of King Charles, served as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment between 2001 and 2011.
The development follows a complaint filed by Graham Smith, head of Republic, who said he had reported Andrew to the police.
“I have now reported Andrew to the ThamesVP (Thames Valley Police) for suspected misconduct in public office and breach of official secrets in relation to these specific allegations,” he wrote on X.
Smith added: “I cannot see any significant difference between these allegations and those against Peter Mandelson.”
According to the emails, on October 7, 2010, Andrew sent Epstein details of his upcoming official trips as a trade envoy to Singapore, Vietnam, Shenzhen in China and Hong Kong, where he was accompanied by business associates of the late convicted sex offender Epstein.
On November 30, he appeared to have forwarded official reports of those trips, sent by his then-special assistant Amit Patel, to Epstein minutes after receiving them.
Separately, media reports last week cited an email from Ghislaine Maxwell that appeared to confirm that a widely circulated photograph showing Andrew with Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual abuse, is authentic.
The email, titled “draft statement”, was sent by a “G Maxwell” to Jeffrey Epstein in 2015 and released by the US Department of Justice as part of the latest Epstein files.
