Ben Shapiro called on President Trump to deliberately crash the global economy and send oil prices skyrocketing by launching a ground invasion of Iran, arguing that America must do whatever it takes — including causing economic collapse — to secure Israel’s regional dominance.
In a video released from his appearance at the Chabad Palm Beach Gardens synagogue, the conservative commentator warned that it would be a “disaster” if Trump fails to “pull the trigger” and unleash America’s “massive arsenal” against Iran.
Shapiro said Trump should “just blow up Kharg Island,” insisting it’s the “easiest move for the United States to make right now.” Shapiro’s message was clear: full commitment, no hesitation, consequences be damned.

There’s just one problem. Iran has repeatedly stated it would respond to an attack on Kharg Island — its critical oil export terminal — by striking oil infrastructure across the Gulf. The result? A immediate shutdown of a huge chunk of global oil supply, skyrocketing energy prices, and a potential plunge into worldwide economic depression.

According to Shapiro, that’s a price the US must be prepared to pay on behalf of Israel.
America Last, Israel First
This isn’t restraint or careful strategy. It’s a demand that the United States sacrifice its economic stability on the altar of Israeli security. Shapiro has made it explicit: America should spend its remaining blood and treasure fighting Israel’s wars until the last drop.
As highlighted in clips from his own show, Shapiro spent months downplaying the risks of striking Iran, promising a limited bombing campaign with no wider war. Now that the situation has escalated, the tune has changed. He’s openly telling audiences to prepare for a long, grinding conflict.
“There is no way to extricate ourselves from this situation right now,” Shapiro declared.
He even invoked Vietnam, noting that Americans only grew “tired” of that war after 50,000 U.S. troops had died. This time, he says, our military members are “heroes” because they’re willing to “sacrifice” their lives for a “greater good” — a future where “energy will become cheap again because the Strait of Hormuz will be free again.”
Translation: American lives and American wallets are acceptable collateral damage so long as Israel gets the regional dominance it wants.
The subtext is impossible to ignore. If America won’t exist to serve as Israel’s enforcer, then, in Shapiro’s worldview, America has no right to exist at all.
