Psychiatrist Who Blasted Trump’s Mental State Refuses to Comment on Joe Biden

Yale psychiatrist Bandy Lee who blasted President Trump's mental health refuses to comment on Joe Biden

The Yale University psychiatrist who attacked President Trump’s mental state in December is refusing to comment on Joe Biden’s cognitive fitness.

In an interview with Salon last year, Bandy X. Lee called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to “submit” President Trump “to an involuntary evaluation.”

Lee has repeatedly diagnosed Trump’s mental health as being deficient, despite never meeting with him personally.

Thegatewaypundit.com reports: Now that Joe Biden has become an increasing cause for concern, due to his aging mind, Bandy Lee refuses to offer a diagnosis of Biden.

Washington Monthly reports:

Brandy X. Lee, one of the mental health professionals who has been very vocal about Trump’s unfitness for office, explained why a declination to diagnose Biden is in keeping with professional standards.

I do not diagnose without examination and do not speak about public figures in general, unless there is evidence of such profound danger to public health and well-being because of serious signs of mental instability in a public servant, that it would be a public disservice not to share the knowledge and training that I have. Biden has not risen to this threshold…

I never spoke up about a president or a presidential candidate either before or after Donald Trump, and neither have thousands of mental health professionals who have come forth with similar concerns in ways that are unprecedented in U.S. history, for any president of any party. I only speak up when there is a medical need of such great magnitude as to risk the survival of the human species.

This is definitively Donald Trump, not Biden. Nor is it Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, or any other false equivalences people wish to create for political purposes.

Just three days ago, this woman was still making comments about Trump’s mental health.

From Salon:

Yale psychiatrist: Trump is “putting lives at risk” with coronavirus; Pence is “enabling” him

President Trump’s preoccupation with his own image amid the spread of the coronavirus is “putting lives at risk” and Vice President Pence is only “enabling” him, Yale psychiatrist Dr. Bandy X. Lee told Salon in an interview this week.

Lee is a forensic psychiatrist at the Yale School of Medicine who also teaches at Yale Law School and has spent the last three years urging Congress to respond more forcefully to the dangers posed by what she sees as the president’s deteriorating mental health. Lee, who consults widely with state and foreign governments on public health approaches to violence prevention, urged the House Judiciary Committee to include a panel of mental health experts during Trump’s impeachment and called for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to request an involuntary 72-hour psychiatric hold of the president.

It’s pretty obvious what is happening here.

  1. If Biden really wins in November, by hook or by crook, we really need to ask who will run the country. We know that obama was not smart, so Jarrett ran the country. Same thing here.

  2. If anyone thinks Joe Biden could handle a Panademic like this needs there head examined. Biden don’t know what State he is in Or who he is standing next to half the time, Or what decade he is in. Example put the Record Player on for your Children. The reason that all the Medical Manufacturing is in China was Bill Clinton NAFTA and Letting China in the WTO. For 8 years Obama/Biden didn’t do anything to address the China issue like President Trump has done.

  3. This is no medical professional she is a fake .

Biden and Clinton are the two most mentally disabled people on the planet and for her not being able to see the obvious deem’s her incompetent.

  4. Hail yale. They have three interesting names for their fraternities Skull and Bones is one but the others are even more curious

  5. “I do not diagnose without examination and do not speak about public figures”…. Unless I disagree with them.
And psychiatry has been political almost since its inception. The communists used it to good effect over the years, diagnosing political opponents with mental disorders as a pretext to imprison them.
