Mental health professionals believe there is something seriously wrong with President Trump and are warning the public.

Psychiatrists gathered at a conference at Yale university have concluded that President Trump has a “dangerous mental illness” and is unfit to lead the country.

I’ve worked with murderers and rapists. I can recognize dangerousness from a mile away. You don’t have to be an expert on dangerousness or spend fifty years studying it like I have in order to know how dangerous this man is,” says James Gilligan, psychiatrist and professor at New York University.

The man he is speaking of is U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Anti Media reports:

Gilligan’s comments were one of many from a group of psychiatrists who gathered at Yale’s School of Medicine on Thursday. The message presented was that Donald Trump is mentally unfit to be in the White House.

Dr. John Gartner, practicing psychiatrist and founding member of Duty to Warn, a group of several dozen mental health professionals who feel it’s their obligation to inform the public about the president’s mental state, says the warning signs have been there from the beginning.

Worse than just being a liar or a narcissist, in addition he is paranoid, delusional and grandiose thinking, and he proved that to the country the first day he was president,” Dr. Gartner said.

Earlier in the year, claiming Trump is “psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President,” Dr. Gartner started a petition calling for Trump to be removed from office. So far, that petition has received nearly 43,000 signatures.

Dr. Bandy Lee, who chaired the conference and is an assistant clinical professor in Yale’s department of psychology, thinks Trump’s mental state is an issue people are beginning to become concerned about:

As some prominent psychiatrists have noted, [Trump’s mental health] is the elephant in the room. I think the public is really starting to catch on and widely talk about this now.President Trump

  1. I would agree with the above…..he is quite mad, not fit to lead, but then neither was Hillary…. His advisers are taking advantage of this, proding him to make some really crazy decisions like dropping bombs and missiles on foreign nations, saying he bombed Iraq, when he meant he bombed Syria, and not even flinching when corrected.Megalomaniac and liar in chief for sure.

  2. They are all psychopaths. They all unflinchingly order the bombing and subsequent death, destruction, and/or mutilation of civilians using justifications that are almost always based on distortions of events or an outright lie.

  3. As if most psychiatrists aren’t already mad to begin with. And as if anyone wishing to seek a position as powerful as President isn’t mad already. And as if anyone who believes that an easy and balanced reaction to the world we live in is a healthy reaction to the society they live in then fine. All of those are mad by any dispassionate measure. The only question is whether his madness aligns with the majority. By that measure he is more sane than most these days.

I would kill this question at the first mention of an “expert psychiatrist”. But frankly you are all well past insane, mostly.

  4. The head of the or a psychiatry group said that psychiatrists were not allowed to diagnose a patient without having seen the patient. These people must know that. Why do they think it is okay to break their own rules? They sound like typical Liberals, gods in their own minds. That is sick.

  5. WHAT THE HELL??? YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE AN EXPERT TO KNOW THE GUY IS A PATHOLOGICAL LIAR, HYPOCRITE AND AN EGOTISTICAL NARCISSIST. IF HE WERE YOUR BOSS, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED ON DAY ONE. HE HAS NO POLITICAL EXPERIENCE. HE HAS NO INTEGRITY. HE IS A MISOGYNIST. HE IS NOT INTERESTED IN A BALANCED GOVERNMENT FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF THE US. HE IS A TYRANT. IT IS HIS WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. HE HAS BEEN THE MOST UNPOPULAR PRESIDENT IN HISTORY. THAT ALONE TELLS YOU SOMETHING IS WRONG. HE IS A GIANT MISTAKE.

  6. Any psychiatrist who makes public statements like this are being unethical & irresponsible. The Goldwater Rule adopted by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) in its Code of Ethics specifically addresses making statements about individuals when the psychiatrist has not personally evaluated the individual they are discussing. I’m not talking about any layman’s personal opinion, but for professionals there are standards & guidelines for a reason & they should be adhered to.

Section 7.3, which appeared in the first edition of the APA’s code of ethics in 1973 and is still in effect as of 2017,[8] says:
On occasion psychiatrists are asked for an opinion about an individual who is in the light of public attention or who has disclosed
information about himself/herself through public media. In such circumstances, a psychiatrist may share with the public his or her
expertise about psychiatric issues in general. However, it is unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has
conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.
