UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has appointed former prime minister Gordon Brown and former deputy Labour leader Baroness Harriet Harman to new roles, following his Party’s devastating losses in local elections across the UK.
Number 10 says it’s all part of Starmer’s plan to ‘set out next steps to build a stronger and fairer Britain in the coming days’

Harman, who was deputy leader of the Labour Party between 2007 and 2015 and now sits in the House of Lords is an outrageous choice.

She is the same Harriet Harman who had links to a group called The Paedophile Information Exchange that campaigned to legalise sex with children.
From 1978 to 1982 Ms Harman was legal officer at the National Council for Civil Liberties, which was the predecessor to campaign group Liberty.
The group spoke positively about adults attracted to children and was granted affiliate status with the National Council for Civil Liberties in 1975.
