The USGS has just announced that a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck near the city of Tres Palos, Mexico.
The strong quake could be felt as far as 50 kilometers away, and rattled homes and buildings in the coastal Mexican town.
The quake struck on Mexico’s west coast, near the Pacific ocean.
