Joe Biden has admitted that his staff have banned him from going anywhere near “young kids” but he plans to exercise his presidential powers and “do it anyway.”
“You know, I thought when I got to be President I’d get to do things that I want to do but my staff tells me what I can’t do, but I’m going to do it anyway,” Biden told a surprised audience at a White House reception for a women’s soccer team.
The 81-year-old Biden then preceded to ask all the “young women” and “young kids” to come up and stand behind him.

He then began by shaking their hands and holding their hands with his two hands for a few very long and deeply uncomfortable moments.

Biden then let a woman from the Gotham F.C. soccer team speak for a short period, returning to the podium to say that he thought as President he would get to do things he wanted to do, but that he’s learned his staff prevents him from fulfilling his wishes.
Biden said a few things to the adults on stage and they looked uneasy and awkward, shook a few more kid’s hands and then walked off with a guilty look on his face.
Biden is known to enjoy the personal touch of those he is sharing a stage with, particularly when the person is female and under the age of 12.
