Bigfoot? US Wildlife Officials Post Photo of Discovered Species

Fact checked
Montana's "bigfoot"

Is this “Bigfoot”? The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service have posted a photograph of a mystery species that has been “discovered”on Montana’s Bob Marshall Wilderness.

According to GeoBeats News:

According to the agency’s Mountain Prairie Region department, “Thanks to a series of leaked photos, news of this discovery has gone viral and our offices are overwhelmed with phone calls, emails, and social media messages. We ask that you please exercise patience as we attempt to ascertain the biological identity of the specimen we captured.”

The image shows a grainy picture in what looks like sepia-tone or brown. Completely out of focus, a large body appears on two hind legs and looks to be lumbering or lurching forward.

Their Facebook post notes, “We expect the results of our DNA tests back from the Clark R. Bavin National Fish and Wildlife Forensic Laboratory this morning, and we anticipate holding a press conference later in the day with our findings. Please stay tuned.”

Oh yeah, and check the date.
