A blue floating house will be travelling along the Thames for a few days.
The house will be sailing from May 18th for five days till May 22nd when it will dock at Putney pier. The house and garden will be open for residence this Friday to some lucky winner who will have the opportunity to stay the night with three friends on the ultimate boat.
The houseboat publicity stunt is the work of Airbnb, in celebration of the passing of the Deregulation Act, which gives London residents permission to “share” their property for up to 90 days each year.

It’s the ultimate houseboat, offering two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room, as well outside space – there’s a garden complete with dog kennel and wisteria. Yes, it’s way better than your London flat.

You just need to tell them in a few sentences (before midnight on May 20) where you would go if the floating house could take you anywhere in the world – just like Up.
The winners will be greeted on arrival by an Airbnb host, and taken on a personal tour of the host’s favourite London neighbourhood (intriguing), before returning to the house for a massage and dinner cooked by Robert Ortiz, Michelin-starred head chef of Lima and Lima Floral.
Then, you just float off into a dreamy night’s sleep.
