Former CIA Director John Brennan on Tuesday was referred to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution for committing treason against the American people.
“While testifying, Brennan made numerous wilfully and intentionally false statements of material fact,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan wrote in a letter to US Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Infowars.com reports: Jordan’s referral went on to detail how Brennan lied when he denied the CIA’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation “relied on the discredited Steele dossier.”

“Brennan’s assertion that the CIA was not ‘involved at all’ with the Steele dossier cannot be reconciled with the facts. As the newly declassified documents show, a CIA officer drafted the annex containing a summary of the dossier; Brennan made the ultimate decision, along with then-FBI Director James Comey, to include information from the dossier in the ICA [Intelligence Community Assessment]; and…Brennan overruled senior CIA officers who objected to the inclusion of the dossier material.”
Furthermore, Brennan also lied when he claimed the CIA “opposed including the Steele dossier in the ICA,” the referral claims, going on to outline how Brennan “also provided false testimony during a HSPSCI [House Permanent Select Committee On Intelligence] hearing in 2017.”
“In sum, Brennan’s testimony before the Committee on May 11, 2023, was a brazen attempt to knowingly and willfully testify falsely and fictitiously to material facts,” Jordan’s referral states. “We therefore make this referral for the Department to examine whether any of Brennan’s testimony warrants a charge for the violation of 18 U.S. Code § 1001.”
The referral of the former top level Obama administration official comes as CIA Director John Ratcliffe in July remarked on a report released by his agency documenting the “multiple procedural anomalies” that occurred during the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, including attempts to collude and manipulate intelligence, hand-selecting of analysts involved in the investigation, and an extreme level of involvement in the Intelligence Community Assessment by Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
