
Crews are working to repair a massive sinkhole that opened up on a street in Brooklyn, New York.
Fire department and utility crews are at the site, securing the area and attempting to reconnect severed utility lines, while police have blocked 5th Avenue, the area’s busiest road.

The huge crater at the corner of 5th Avenue and 64th Street in Sunset Park, swallowed up an intersection snarling up traffic and causing water and gas outages to nearby building.
A major water leak gave birth to the hole which was as estimated to be 15 feet deep and 30 feet long., according to the Department of Environmental Protection. The hole appeared shortly after 7:00am on Tuesday morning and there were no reported injuries.
