Jimmy Kimmel Suffers Unhinged Melt Down, Tells Audience Trump is Going to Kill Them

Hollywood late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is facing backlash after he crossed a dangerous line by portraying President Donald Trump as a man ordering federal agents to kill Americans.

During an unhinged rant reacting to the fatal shooting of a woman by an ICE officer in Minnesota, Kimmel held up a red T-shirt emblazoned with the words “Donald J. Trump is gonna kill you” — a move that stunned even longtime viewers and ignited outrage online.

The segment followed Trump’s defense of the ICE agent involved in the incident, which federal officials described as an act of self-defense during an enforcement operation. Kimmel flatly rejected that explanation, telling his audience the shooting was unjustified and implying that Trump wants to slaughter Americans who object to his policies.

That framing wasn’t just misleading — it was reckless.

By suggesting that Trump is deliberately directing law enforcement to murder civilians, Kimmel moved beyond satire into political fear-mongering, using a real death to push a radical narrative about the U.S. government.

Kimmel also echoed the inflammatory language of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who told ICE agents to “get the f*** out” of the city following the shooting. Instead of urging calm or waiting for a full investigation, Kimmel amplified the mayor’s rhetoric and turned it into a national spectacle.

For many viewers, that was the final straw.

Online, critics accused Kimmel of suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome at an all-time high, arguing that his obsession with Trump has driven him to promote extreme claims that could put lives at risk. Some warned that portraying ICE as government-sanctioned killers could encourage hostility, harassment, or even violence against federal agents.

What drew particular ire was Kimmel’s decision to transform the tragedy into a political branding moment, literally turning the accusation into merchandise for millions of viewers to see.

“Late-night comedy used to be about jokes,” one viral post read. “Now it’s about telling people their president wants them dead.”
