US Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has threatened to withhold her vote on a Republican-led budget bill.
She said that she once gave up her vote “because my President asked me to,” but she “will not do it again.”
On Friday, Greene, a steadfast ally to Donald Trump, said that she was “frustrated” by the administration and the direction in which they were heading, claiming it was not delivering promises she had campaigned on.

She said: “When you are losing MTG, you are losing the base. And Trump isn’t on the ballot in the future, so do the math on that.”

She said: “I represent the base and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy. I campaigned for no more foreign wars. And now we are supposedly on the verge of going to war with Iran”
Adding: “I don’t think we should be bombing foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries especially when they have their own nuclear weapons and massive military strength.”
MSN reports: She doubled down on those complaints over the weekend, and then called out Trump specifically.
“I gave my vote for a Biden/Democrat funding and policy CR once because my President asked me to, but I will not do it again,” the lawmaker wrote on X. “Going forward, earning my vote for funding and policies will be defined by these issues.”
Among the issues listed by the congresswoman are “I will not vote to fund a single penny or bullet to Ukraine regardless of a useless mineral deal,” and, “I will not vote to fund a CDC that keeps the failed and dangerous mRNA Covid vaccines on the childhood vaccine schedule.” Trump has notably pushed for the mineral deal with Ukraine.
She then added, “I will not vote to fund reconciliation and tax law that raises taxes on hard working small business owners and does not include the President’s tax campaign promises of NO tax on tips, overtime, and social security,” and, “Make the DOGE cuts permanent.”
“For the love of God, give the American people and those who have suffered and worked the hardest a break,” she wrote.
Further, Taylor Greene said, “I will not vote for a single penny to fund any thing that is involved in the trans agenda and child abusive medical industry that lies to children about their gender and sexuality and performs any level of sex changes on minors,” and, “No federal funding for abortion and any entity involved in organ harvesting of dead and murdered babies. Period.”
