An 8-year-old girl is fighting for her life after a Moroccan man stabbed a woman and three of her daughters at a French Alps resort, blaming them for being “too lightly dressed”.
The knife assault took place Tuesday morning in the high Alps, at a popular holiday village in Laragne-Monteglin, south-east France.
The Evening Standard reports:
She was airlifted to a hospital in Grenoble with a suspected punctured lung while the condition of her family remains unknown.

Jean-Marc Duprat, a deputy mayor for Laragne-Monteglin, said the girl was on holiday with her mother and two sisters, aged 12 and 14, when the attack took place.
He said a 37-year-old male suspect, who is not related to them, was upset they were wearing shorts and T-shirts.
The man has been arrested by police.
According to local reports, the suspect was of Moroccan descent and allegedly made references about the females being “too lightly dressed”.
Local prosecutor Raphael Balland said: “The motive of the attack is very blurred.”
Laragne-Monteglin is 180 kilometers 110 miles northwest of Nice, where a Tunisian man killed 84 people last week by driving through a crowd on Bastille Day.
