New York residents living in the Long Island area got a rare treat Tuesday when they saw a quadruple rainbow (that’s FOUR rainbows all at the same time).
Residents immediately took to social media to express their excitement over the extremely rare event.
Stormy wet weather over New York’s greater metropolitan area caused the spectacle.

According to CBS New York:
Double and even quadruple rainbows could be seen on Long Island as well as a rainbow arching over a NYPD Highway Patrol precinct.
Amanda Curtis snapped a picture of the phenomenon as she was waiting for a train.
“I didn’t realize how rare it was, I just knew it was beautiful,” Curtis told 1010 WINS. “My train was coming, but I just took out my phone, snapped a quick photo and ran after my train.”
What do you think of the beautiful quadruple rainbow?
