White House Spiritual Advisor Says Americans Must Pay 10% of Their Income To Israel To ‘Honor the Tithe’

Fact checked by The People's Voice Community

Christian Americans owe 10% of their gross income to the state of Israel, according to Paula White, the televangelist who holds the title of White House spiritual advisor.

“I believe that it’s so important to honor God,” White says in the footage. “Christians should tithe 10% of their gross income to Israel to honor God and the tithe.”

And in case there was any confusion about where the money should go, she helpfully adds: “You can give by CashApp or Venmo or PayPal or however you want to.”

Not to your local church. Not to the poor in your own community. Not to your own family struggling to pay rent. To a foreign government.

Let that sink in.

This is the same Paula White who was installed as a “spiritual advisor” in the White House — a role with no constitutional basis, no oversight, and no accountability. Now she’s using that platform to push a message that sounds less like Scripture and more like a fundraising drive for a foreign nation.

Ask yourself: when did the gospel of Jesus Christ — a man who famously threw the money changers out of the temple — become a direct deposit line to a foreign state?

Nowhere in the Bible does it say “thou shalt tithe to a geopolitical entity.” The tithe in Scripture went to the Levites, to the temple, to the poor. It was about sustaining the community of believers — not funding a foreign government’s military and settlement enterprise.

But this isn’t really about theology. It’s about money and influence. It always is.

Consider the network behind this: Christian Zionism has been a multi-billion dollar industry for decades, funneling American dollars into Israeli coffers while American communities rot. Churches close. Food banks run dry. Veterans sleep on the streets. But somehow there’s always enough to send overseas.

And now they’re not even pretending anymore. They’re not hiding behind “supporting the Holy Land” or “blessing Israel.” They’re saying the quiet part out loud: give us your money, and give it to Israel.

CashApp. Venmo. PayPal. However you want to.
