In a frantic bid to evade accountability, Bill and Hillary Clinton are lashing out at House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) as contempt of Congress charges loom over their defiance of bipartisan subpoenas in the Jeffrey Epstein child sex trafficking investigation.
This high-stakes showdown could dismantle the Clintons’ empire, exposing decades-old allegations of involvement in sexual crimes against children and triggering Justice Department referrals that might finally deliver justice for their victims.
The Clintons’ spokesman, Angel Ureña, accused Comer of twisting negotiations in the probe tied to convicted pedophile Epstein, insisting the format dispute is a smokescreen for contempt. “We never said no to a transcript,” Ureña posted on X.

But Comer fired back, exposing the Clintons’ “untenable offer”: a private New York chat with Bill alone, no transcript, no other lawmakers. “I have rejected the Clintons’ ridiculous offer,” Comer declared on X. “The Clintons’ latest demands make clear they believe their last name entitles them to special treatment.”
He stressed subpoenas demand sworn, transcribed depositions, slamming the no-record demand as “insulting to the American people who demand answers about Epstein’s crimes.”
The committee shared redacted emails debunking Ureña’s claims: the Clintons wanted just one note-taker per side for an “interview,” not a deposition. “Subpoenas and depositions are not suggestions,” the committee posted on X.
Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) highlighted damning photos of Bill with Epstein victims on his plane, saying, “The American people want answers, and they want to know what a former U.S. president was doing with this disgusting pedophile.”
