The Dutch report focuses on the aftermath of the Ajax–Maccabi Tel Aviv football clash, during which Israeli fans were caught on video vandalizing property, threatening civilians, and shouting racist anti-Arab chants.
Rather than acknowledge these events, Israeli authorities launched a coordinated PR blitz, crying antisemitism, distributing manipulated narratives directly to Dutch officials and journalists, bypassing all diplomatic protocol.
One of those narratives falsely framed the incident as a “pogrom” — prompting the mayor of Amsterdam, Femke Halsema, to later retract her statement, admitting that Israel had directly interfered in Dutch internal affairs.
This is information warfare, and it isn’t new. What’s new is that a government finally had the courage to name it.
This isn’t just about Israel. This is about how sovereign governments are being infiltrated and manipulated by a foreign power with access to kompromat, intelligence networks, and billions in lobbying resources.
Alongside Ireland and Spain, the Netherlands has started urging the EU to reassess its relationship with Israel.
