2 NYPD cops shot in ‘execution style’ ambush

Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead by a suspect who ambushed their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon.

The perpetrator was chased by police and reportedly died of a self-inflicted gun wound. Investigators believe the gunman’s ‘execution style’ mission was in revenge for the killings of Eric Garner and Michael Brown

RT reports: Both officers have succumbed to gunshot wounds after being admitted to hospital in critical condition, authorities have confirmed.

The shooting took place in Brooklyn outside of the Tompkins Houses at around 3pm. The shooter reportedly came out of the building before shooting the officers patrolling the area. According to the witnesses he then ran away into the subway where he was either shot by police chasing him or died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
