Daily Mail reports:
The fearless daredevil recorded his moves to win the contest, which challenges skiers to capture the best raw GoPro footage as they make their way down the slopes.
The video shows Léo effortlessly zipping through the trees and negotiating huge drops, undaunted by the danger.
The 22-year-old French athlete travels down the slopes at high speed with ease, as bystanders watch in awe and cheer him on.
At one point, he even pauses on the snow to scale a wall, before continuing down the slope.
The video has now gone viral, having amassed tens of thousands of views in mere hours.
The Line of the Winter contest challenges entrants to turn on their GoPro and document their action on the piste to be in with the chance of winning the £14,000 ($20,000) grand prize money.
Run by the GoPro brand, videos are judged on innovative filming, technical riding, great lighting and creativity.
And no editing is required – judges consider the raw GoPro clip for the contest.
Skiers and snowboarders all submit to the same contest and are judged by the panel – who also pick a monthly winner to win £700 ($1,000).
And not one to do things by halves, master of the slopes Léo didn’t just make his way down like a regular skier – he jumped from the roof of a restaurant.
Writing on his Facebook page, Léo wrote: ‘I am super happy to announce my monthly victory of “Line Of The Winter” competition. thanks the restaurant Le Signal Val d’Isère for letting me jump from the terrasse.’
The organisers of the competition warn: ‘By participating, Skier/Snowboarder and Videographers acknowledge they are participating at their own risk and that neither Grind nor any Sponsor is responsible for any physical harm or death that may befall any Skier/Snowboarder or Videographer as a result of participation in these Contests.’
