A few weeks ago, Pippa Middleton was on the internet when Kim Kardashian tried to break it – and Pippa didn’t quite understand why, according to a recent article published by Yahoo! News entitled “Pippa Middleton Muses on Kim Kardashian’s Assets“[1].

In the article, by journalist Samantha Conti, she writes:

While her sister the Duchess of Cambridge was cutting a swathe through New York during an official visit that wrapped up Tuesday night, Pippa Middleton was turning her attention to matters more frivolous, namely bottoms, truffle hunting and Western dancing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

“American Booty Culture”

In a blog for the British political weekly magazine The Spectator, which will be published later this week, Middleton writes that the Rear of 2014 award undoubtedly goes to Kim Kardashian after her “posterior exploded all over the Internet” last month.

“I must say that mine — though it has enjoyed fleeting fame — is not comparable. But the Kim butt story did make me pause. What is it with this American booty culture? It seems to me to be a form of obsession. Kim’s aim, apparently, was to break the Internet, but I’m not sure she’s going the right way about it,” Middleton writes.

First World Problems

The blog is wide-ranging, and also touches on a recent truffle hunt in Italy’s Piedmont — and Middleton’s overdose on the luxury fungi. “I’ve had it with scrambled eggs, mashed potato, pasta and even just straight onto toast. I didn’t think it was possible to get bored of something so expensive, but I must say I’m a bit truffled out, and my flat now smells of truffles. That’s what people call a first world problem, I know.”
