Ghislaine Maxwell’s Bizarre Claim: Epstein Couldn’t Rape Girls Because of ‘Heart Condition’

Fact checked by The People's Voice Community

Newly released transcripts of Justice Department interviews with Ghislaine Maxwell show the convicted sex trafficker attempting to rewrite history — most bizarrely by insisting Jeffrey Epstein could not have raped anyone because a heart condition allegedly left him impotent and incapable of sex.

The two-day interview, conducted last month and published today by the DOJ under mounting public pressure, captures Maxwell weaving a pattern of self-serving denials, half-truths, and outright fabrications.

She described Epstein not as a predator but as a man too sick to commit the crimes for which he was infamous — a claim at odds with decades of survivor testimony and overwhelming evidence of his abuse.

Maxwell went so far as to argue that Epstein was physically incapable of committing the very crimes that defined his reputation.

By this logic, she insisted, the allegations of rape made by survivors could not possibly be true because Epstein was simply too ill to have engaged in intercourse.

“So when I read the stories about all the allegations of sexual rape, I find that challenging, because that was not his modus operandi, from my perspective,” claimed Maxwell.

Maxwell’s assertion that Epstein was impotent because of a heart condition mirrors Prince Andrew’s notorious BBC defense, where he dismissed Virginia Giuffre’s account by insisting her memory was flawed since he supposedly couldn’t sweat at the time due to a war injury.

Maxwell repeatedly tried to minimize Epstein’s ties to the powerful.

She denied that Bill Clinton ever received massages or traveled Epstein’s properties, despite photographic evidence and flight logs placing him alongside the disgraced financier.

The Democratic Convention has been thrown into chaos as new photos emerge showing former President Bill Clinton receiving a "massage" from one of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's sex abuse victims.

She portrayed Donald Trump as “cordial” and “never inappropriate,” sidestepping years of reports about his proximity to Epstein’s world.

She also rejected the widespread belief that Epstein was linked to intelligence agencies, insisting the notion was a conspiracy theory.

Her revisionist storytelling extended to her own family history. Maxwell gave misleading accounts about her late father, the disgraced publishing magnate Robert Maxwell, painting him as a respectable figure despite his notorious record of fraud and intelligence entanglements.

The DOJ’s release comes after years of speculation about what Maxwell might reveal if pressed by federal investigators.

But instead of shedding new light, the transcripts highlight how unreliable and evasive she remains. Much of her testimony clashes with public records, court evidence, and photographic documentation.
