The US Senate Intelligence Committee has called on Julian Assange to testify about who really leaked the DNC emails prior to the 2016 election.

Assange is the only man who knows who really supplied the Podesta-Clinton emails to Wikileaks. According to Assange’s lawyers, he is seriously considering taking them up on the offer.

In a letter delivered to his residence in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, committee chairman Richard Burr (R-North Carolina) requested that Assange make himself available for a closed interview “at a mutually agreeable time and location.”

Assange could be about to blow the whole Russian interference narrative to pieces.

RT reports:  WikiLeaks’ legal team said that they “are considering the offer but testimony must conform to a high ethical standard.”

Assange fled to the Ecuadorian embassy in London in 2012, seeking asylum from possible extradition to the US, where he faced indictment under the Espionage Act for publishing leaked government documents. Since his de-facto house arrest in the embassy, WikiLeaks has continued to draw controversy, publishing then-candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails and leaked emails from the Democratic Party’s internal servers in 2016.

Over a month before the Senate Intelligence Committee’s letter arrived in London, ten Democrat senators sent a petition to Vice President Mike Pence, demanding that he press the Ecuadorian government to revoke Assange’s asylum.

Pence visited Ecuador shortly after, and met with the country’s president, Lenin Moreno. After meeting with Pence, Moreno reportedly mulled evicting Assange from the embassy. Assange had been granted asylum by Moreno’s predecessor, and the new president described the Australian journalist as an “inherited problem.”

Human RIghts Watch has called on the UK government to allow Assange to leave his embassy home without the threat of extradition to the US, where he could face life in prison. In 2016, a UN working group found that Assange’s stay in the embassy amounted to an “arbitrary deprivation of liberty.”

  1. US Senate Intellligence Committee has a bunch of lefty criminals biased against Truth. Bob Menendez, give me a break. Dianne Feinstein, harboring a Chinese spy in her office. And on and on…

I.M.O., Seth Rich leaked those emails for which he risked his life; and lost.

  2. I dread the thought of them making the “closed interview” classified and transcript redacted; which they will. The greatest crime against humanity is the concealing of all and any meaningful information preventing any public knowledge of so called official, government or agency actions. This crime concealment goes beyond treason. Their “security” has brought about world wide insecurity and instability.

  3. If Assange told me the sun was coming up tomorrow I wouldn’t believe him. He belongs in one place on this earth: Supermax in Florence Colorado.

Self absorbed, self appointed scumball with delusions of importance.

  4. These DC Swamp-creatures are worried about who opened the barn door, when the horse that got out won the Triple Crown. We all know that everything exposed was true because nobody ever challenged the emails as fake. They just wanted to bury the story.
