A huge fight broke out in the Ukrainian parliament on Friday after an MP handed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk a bunch of Roses to hold and then went on to physically lift up and remove him from the podium.

Prime Minister Yatsenyuk managed to hold on to the rostrum at which he was giving a speech moments earlier, until help arrived and Ukraine’s upper house of parliament erupted into a brawl.

National Post reports:

A fight involving several dozen lawmakers broke out in Ukraine’s parliament Friday after one deputy swatted the prime minister with a bouquet of roses during a speech.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk was giving his report at the Supreme Rada when a deputy from the president’s party went up to the rostrum with a bunch of red roses. After he handed the roses to Yatsenyuk, Oleh Barna took Yatsenyuk by the waist and put his hands around his leg, trying to drag him away as Yatsenyuk clutched the rostrum.Ukrainian Parliament
