NY Times admits Alex Jones trial will shut down independent media forever

The Alex Jones defamation lawsuit will result in the suspension of free speech online and the destruction of independent media, the New York Times admitted.

In an article titled, “Lies for Profit: Can Sandy Hook Parents Shut Alex Jones Down?“, NYT’s Elizabeth Williamson declared Monday that the defamation trials against Jones hold “lessons” for other cases against individuals who believe in “conspiracy theories” such as the 2020 election was stolen or being a supporter of Donald Trump.

“Lawyers say the three trials hold lessons for other cases against conspiracy-minded defendants, from the Jan. 6 insurrectionists to Trump allies sued for falsely claiming that voting machine manufacturers helped ‘steal’ the 2020 presidential election. Mr. Jones is also under scrutiny for his role in events surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol,” Williamson wrote.

“Lawyers for the Sandy Hook families say a verdict, expected this week in the first trial, could send a signal to other conspiracy purveyors about the cost of online lies and set into motion a chain of events that could shut Infowars down.”

infowars.com reports: Questioning the results of a presidential election is not a crime, but the establishment is trying to change that.

Given all the lies Infowars and others exposed about the years-long “Russia collusion” hoax, the harmful COVID vaccines and lockdowns, and the Ukraine conflict despite unprecedented online censorship, shutting down dissenting voices through the courts is now a top priority of the powers that be.

“New York Times explicitly saying it: goal of #AlexJones case is to use it as precedent to go after those who contest 2020 election & any other government disfavored ‘conspiracy minded’ folks, like everyone who challenged lockdowns, mandates, Covid origins, lies to get us into war,” constitutional lawyer Robert Barnes noted Monday.

A verdict in Jones’ Texas defamation show trial is expected later this week.
