In a powerful speech Senator Rand Paul argued against the renewal of the Patriot Act, telling senators that the NSA is NOT about thwarting terrorism.
Rand Paul told senators that the NSA collect all Americans citizens’ records, all of the time.
He said, “This is what we fought the revolution over. Are we going to so blithely give up our freedom? Are we going to so blithely go along and just say take it? Well, I’m not going to take it anymore and I intend on protecting the Constitution.”
